Time to Come Apart into a Desert Place

If you are regular here, you know my posting has been quite sporadic.  There are many things I would like to post about and pictures I want to share, but time keeps getting away from me.  I need to take a blogging break.  I don’t want to be a blogger who just doesn’t show up any more.  I intend to come back.  My final exam for this semester of language school is March 29th.  I would appreciate your prayers.  I informed my school that I will be taking a break.  I’m still praying for a tutor for some one-on-one conversation.  Some wonderful ministry opportunities are coming up and I’m looking forward to seeing what the Lord will do.

The plum blossoms have arrived!
The plum blossoms have arrived!

In addition to what is a very full plate, I have a sick little dog.  We are hoping for the best as she is being treated for the next 7-10 days.  She is only seven, so not quite prepared for what the outcome could be.

Thanks for your patience and your prayers.  Lord willing, I will return in April.

This is our yorkie named Pixie. This picture was taken a little over a year ago, the day we brought her home.
Her nicknames are as follows.
N, my nephew, calls her Pickadee Pickadee Pickadeedeedee.
B, my youngest, calls her P.
R, my only daughter, calls her Pick.
J, my oldest, calls her, Picky Babe.
I call her Piku. (Her name in Japanese is Pikushi.)
My hubby calls her……dumb dog!

The Pix-a-nator now. Ain’t she cute!?!

It’s Pixie’s Birthday!

Dec. 6th was our doggie’s first birthday. Some of you may not be aware of what a miracle it is that we have her. She is a gift as a result of God working in my husband’s heart. You see…he doesn’t like dogs. One day he casually commented that he thought it was rather selfish to say that we couldn’t have a dog when he was the only one that didn’t want one. WOW! We have a delightful little Yorkie. We had a slight miscommunication at the groomers the last time. Now our little Yorkie looks like a Chihuahua! Her new “do” is growing on us in two ways. We like seeing her expressions and may decide to keep it this way. Secondly, it is actually beginning to grow out a little. She looks like a little angel, but looks can be deceiving…..

We still adore her!
