Grieving

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun.

Anniversary Travels

Our 25th wedding anniversary was on the 6th of this month.  We went to a place that we have been before, but we did things we haven’t done before.  I loved  visiting Shirogawa-go.  It is an old village with thatch roof homes.  People are still living and conducting business in the homes.  I would love to have a home there.  This one, in fact!  It was like stepping back in time.  It was a slower life there than what we have in our busy, busy city.  Part 2 coming…

The Reception

timeline

The reception was lovely.  It was held in a historical house in Greenville.

Mr. & Mrs.

There were lots of antiques.  No need for fancy decorations.  There was a time of blessings and memories, along with some of the traditional such as cutting of the cake.

The bride forgot to throw the bouquet.  She handed it off to my daughter as she was getting in the car.  We all thought that was great!  R is hoping that means she is next!  HA!
