Welcome!  I’m so glad that you stopped in to visit today!  I am a homeschool teacher of three graduates, language studying missionary wife and mother living in the 10/40 window.  I enjoy many things including quilting, sewing, reading, stamping, flower gardening and Japanese doll-making.  My newest hobbies include learning Mac and digital scrapbooking.

The 10/40 window stands for the latitude and longitude that encompasses Asia, Russia, etc. that hasn’t been evangelized. The Lord has called my family to Japan to work in our small part of this very large window!

We live in a 900 square foot house! I never thought I could do it, but I am learning to scale down. Everything in Japan is small:  small houses, small cars, small roads, small clothes, small shoes, small shopping carts, etc…..

I have many interests and hobbies. For now, most of these have taken a back seat to language study and learning to live in this culture. This consumes most of my time at the present, but I know this is what the Lord has for me now. I can live in Japan without speaking Japanese, but I long to be able to teach Japanese women the Bible in their own language.

The verse in my address is a very special verse to me. 2 Corinthians 5:15 states, “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” As a Christian wife, I must follow the leadership of my husband. When my husband told me he thought the Lord was calling us to Japan, I couldn’t say that He called me too. I knew I was to follow my husband’s leadership and that my place was with him. This is my calling. I asked the Lord to give me a verse that I could hang onto when the going got tough and I might doubt His calling on my life. This was the verse that He gave me. My life is not about me. It is all about the one who died for me! It is my daily prayer that I will live my life for Him.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wow! I love your website, but even more, your ongoing Bible study!!! Is this a study that you are doing with other women or are you doing this for your personal study time? So simple. So lovely! So needed…focusing on God and who He is.

Be blessed in all that you do, today!

P.S. Loved the photos. Loved the photos of your home makeover! And, it looked like the cabin you stayed in for your vaca. time was just a *leeetle* tiny! Did it feel like home?

    1. I learned about the study several years ago at a ladies’ retreat. I started it then as a personal study. Later the book was published and it spurred me on. I hope to start it with a couple of ladies here soon.

The cabin was tiny, but cozy! We had a great time. Hated to leave.
