My God Wants Me to Wait on Him.

I’m sorry that I have been MIA at the blog.  Life has been challenging and quite frankly, writing an email is agonizing right now, so you can imagine what it would take to write a blog entry.  The Lord is teaching me much, but it has not been without a struggle.  There are lessons that we thought we learned, but then God calls us to learn them at a new level.  That is where I am at the moment.  Learning at a new level…it is not without pain, but I am trusting that in the end, my relationship with the Lord will be the sweeter for it.  Waiting is not something that I am very good at.  I am a “take the bull by the horns” kind of gal.  But there are some “bulls” that you can’t get near, no matter how much you may want to.  So I am learning to wait…on a new level…and although it is not easy, I am seeing the Lord work…and that is absolutely amazing!

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.  It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”

~Lamentations 3:25-26

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:”

~Psalm 37:7a

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

~Isaiah 40:31

“Fear ye not, stand still [don’t take the bull by the horns, WAIT], and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day:”

~Exodus 14:13

“He directs them to leave it to God, in a silent expectation of the event: ‘Stand still, and think not to save yourselves either by fighting or flying; wait God’s orders, and observe them; be not contriving what course to take, but follow your leader; wait God’s appearances, and take notice of them, that you may see how foolish you are to distrust them. Compose yourselves, by an entire confidence in God, into a peaceful prospect of the great salvation God is now about to work for you. Hold your peace…”

~Matthew Henry on Exodus 14:13

keeping it real until the next time…
