In the Sewing Room

I should have done this a loooonnnnnggggg time ago!  This summer, before my return to the states, I made a cotton slip to wear on those long, hot days of summer.  It was very easy.  It’s so comfortable on those hot sticky days.

I used a basic a-line skirt pattern that is cut on the bias and took out a little of the fullness.  I finished it off with elastic at the waist and eyelet lace at the bottom.  As Martha Stewart would say, “It’s a GOOD thing!”

  1. I like this idea. Slips are hard to find….especially for my little granddaughters. I have had to sew them, adjusting a dress pattern. I find that people just don’t wear slips like we did growing up. :/
