Rose Garden 08

This is an annual tradition. Two of my friends and I have our birthdays within 2 weeks of each other. This occurs at the same time as peak season for the roses, so this day is our bithday gift to ourselves. The day was cloudy and we had lots of light rain, but nothing could dampen our spirits. We had a great time. I’m sorry some of the pictures are fuzzy. It must have been the clouds.

Can’t wait until next year…

Just beautiful! Is this right where you live or did you have to travel to see this? Is this a specific garden dedicated to roses or are these roses throughout the city? Glad you had such a nice day. Happy birthday!

This is supposed to be the largest rose garden in the world. It covers acres and acres…I traveled about an hour to get therewith my children and one of my friends, my other two friends traveled about a half-hour. We met at the gate and had a great time!

I just found your blog, and I wanted to thank you. You have encouraged me and inspired me! I was feeling a bit down today. Your writings and experience encouraged me,and your sharing the great hymns of the faith reminded me what a great God we serve!

Hello Dear Senkyoshi! It is good to be back! I did miss you and thought about you often!I can’t imagin what it’s like to see acres and acres of Roses?! I know it just has to be beautiful and to spend your special day with dear friends and family enjoying them together is a gift and a precious memory that money can’t buy! Glad to hear about and see your special day together! Also loved reading about your love for reading and books–I wish I had more time to read–I have learned so much from reading books. These days, I often have to listen to books on tape,(from the library)or online.Right now I’m reading (not on tape or online) and going through “Becoming A Titus 2 Woman” by Martha Peace. This is my second time. I’m really trying to go through it prayerfully and slowly.Loved visiting You and catching up on your thought-provoking and lovely blog!
