Life has been rather hectic around here lately. My new semester in language school is very difficult. For each 3 hour class time, I spend about 8 hours doing homework, reviewing, studying, preparing, memorizing, etc…. I have also added a shorter class that I attend with my daughter. It is a little too easy for me which is encouraging, but just right for R. She doesn’t want to attend by herself, so it is a good review time for me. I also try to watch around 15 minutes of Japanese t.v. each day to listen and try to understand. I haven’t been very consistent with that this week. The week seems to have flown by!

You may wonder what we do for entertainment on the mission field. We all have a sense of humor and this makes for some fun times when you start talking about cultural mishaps. My kids have also started coming up with some of their own puzzles. Here is a sample: Who is BJM’s 3 cousin’s, grandma’s, great-grandma’s, daughter’s, daughter’s, husband’s, oldest brother’s, mother-in-law’s, husband’s, daughter’s, son’s, sister’s, cousin’s, brother’s, father’s, wife’s, sister-in-law? The answer is yours truly!

More of Psalm 119….

I am a stranger in the earth:
hide not thy commandments from me.
My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath
unto thy judgments at all times.
Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed,
which do err from thy commandments.
Remove from me reproach and contempt;
for I have kept thy testimonies.
Princes also did sit and speak against me:
but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
Thy testimonies also are my delight
and my counselors.
~Psalm 119:19-24
